To prevent deposition of complex and heavy organic compounds in reservoirs, well heads and pipelines, it is necessary to be able to predict the onset and amount of deposition due to various factors, e.g. flow (shear) rate, temperature and pressure.

Our Wax Flow Loops are designed to simulate these effects in your lab with field parameters under well-controlled conditions.

Description

This instrument offers a variety of test routines dealing with paraffin deposition and flow assurance:

Wax deposition and inhibitor testing
Pipeline restart and yield strength tests
Wax appearance temperature (WAT) determination
Rheology tests
Asphaltene precipitation tests
High pressure capability with live crude oil injection
Pressurization with synthetic natural gas (SNG)

The test pipelines are exchangeable for highest flexibility in simulating field pipelines regarding temperature profile, pressure and shear rate. They have a defined inner roughness, which is highly important to assure reproducible test results.
